A timeline of growth, innovation, and excellence since 2017
Borne Technologies was registered & established post addressing a challenge to find a technology suitable
for de-hulling minor millets. This prominent technological gap was successfully addressed by
our team, with support & capital investment from the Chairperson, Ms. Subalakshmi Sankaranarayanan.
At this phase, multiple challenges were further addressed in terms of building the protocols for the
successful primary processing of minor millets. It has been established that the systems & machinery
have set the benchmark in minor millet processing.
Further process & technology improvements were made through continuous research & development. It was at this juncture that the machinery was evaluated by reputed scientists from the Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR-ICAR). IIMR purchased the technology with a capacity of 1 ton/hr with the scope of training stakeholders (public & private) in primary processing.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Borne Technologies still sustained operations through supplying various entities successfully. Though a period of immense struggle, further research & development continued to be undertaken which had helped in fine tuning the processing of minor millets. Multiple states engaged with Borne Technologies for successfully addressing their millet processing infrastructure requirements.
Due to the established reputation for manufacturing high quality machinery & the reliable post-sales servicing, multiple state missions officially engaged with Borne Technologies for their processing needs.
